The UK Cypriot actress Lucy Christy is appearing in the 'Invitation to a Beheading' till 3rd August at The Lion and Unicorn Theatre in Kentish Town. She will play the mother with two other Cypriot actors George Sallis and George Xander.
'It’s a black farce where the anti-hero is sentenced to death for the crime of being different to others. His jailer, lawyer, mother, wife and the executioner and more all pay him a visit with a very surprising end!'
Lucy Christofi Christy has just returned from a successful Cyprus tour where she performed Neil LaButes monologue MEDEA REDUX for Theatro Ena.
INVITATION TO A BEHEADING is a play by Nabokov [famed for LOLITA].
Directed by Act Provocateur’s Russian Director Victor Sobchak and Andrea Hooijmans, the play boasts an international cast of eleven including the three Cypriots!
Meanwhile, the London Cypriot actress has just finished filming the title role QUANNA a film written and directed by a young Turkish Cypriot Mumtaz Tildirmlar.
Performances run until 3rd August 2008.
