The photo shows the cheque presentation on Thursday 21st August 2008 by two officers from Brunswick Park SNT who were joined by four of the Barnet Borough's Councillors after they had completed a sponsored walk around the outskirts of Brunswick Park Ward on 12/07/2008, to raise money for the 'Treasure Island' Children's Ward at Barnet Hospital.
A team from Brunswick Park SNT started from Whetstone police station at 1pm on Saturday 12th July 2008 and walked anti-clockwise atround the Ward boundary whilst a team consisting of three Ward Councillors started at the same point and walked clockwise - The Ward Councillors team finished first !

Although the funds raised by the walk through sponsorship stood at £1025 at the time of the cheque presentation further additional money is still coming in from members of Brunswick Park Ward panel members and this will be collected at the next Ward panel meeting in September 2008.
PS Simon Dawson of Brunswick SNT, who also took part in the walk said:-
"We would like to express our thanks to residents and the businesses of Brunswick Park Ward who very kindly sponsored us on the walk and we are all delighted to have raised over £1000 for the children's ward. Also, Brunswick SNT's thanks and congratulations go to our Ward Councillors who showed such determination in finishing first. We are now currently in training for next years event ! "
