Anna Vissi was quizzed on (i) the forthcoming two albums, the Greek and international perspective (ii) the Eurovision in Athens (iii) 'severing ties' with Nikos Karvelas (iv) the Cypriot juant with James Blunt in Larnaca.
The Cypriot pop star will be set to launch her brand new album - in the wake of a two year gap in the music industry, in the follow-up to the 'Nylon' album in 2005.
The singer had ventured into a pain-staking procedure of sorting through 600 potential tunes, for the requirements of the eagerly anticipated album.
Cyprus's legendary icon had sold over 9.5 million albums world-wide.
Her 'action plan' will also extend to giving a series of performances at the Athinon Arena, in the winter.
She admitted the absence was the creation of an empty void, and perhaps inevitably too, for the pedigree of an artist, whose been singing for over three decades.
"It hurts me when I don't sing, but I had to stop for some time" the artist, who hails from Pyla in Larnaca, had asserted.
"I'm not doing an album with a Diva attitude - it feels the same as when I was 18 and I was searching for songs I liked. I'm seeking new sounds, something that only new people can give." (DownTown)
Check out a promo circulating on the LGR air-waves by the name of 'Diri Daxta' which is sung in Greek/English.
The ethno dance Hip hop fusion is definitely on the innovative curve for the traditional artist. This commentator would have likened a far stronger Cypriot delineation, to have differentiated it, from the other run-of-the mill ethno genre.
The amazing performer is to 'reinvent' herself in spectacular fashion, by the way of releasing the Greek language album, and the second-appointed album, that is tailored for the international perspective.
Her last single was the Eurovision entry 'Everything' and her performance of the Athens Eurovision contest in 2006, the experience of which had proven an exhaustice process, and a 'bitter sweet' moment for the ninth placing she earned. "I got tired with so much work, especially with Eurovision. I did a lot of things in a small period of time and lost control. Instead of me having control over it, I was driven by work. Eurovision was very tiring. I can't say if it was or wasn't correct that I did it, I do know though that what I lived that night was too important for me".
Curiously Anna's iminent album will be missing the ingenious hit-maker/ex-partner Nikos Karvelas. Anna had also confirmed the 'temporary split' from the aforementioned. from Greece's skilful musicians Mirto Kontova and Eleanna Vrahali.
"We did so many things together, we made history, but I think we got tired of each other. It's not a break off, it's just a pause. I hope that we may work together in the future".
The lyricists will emanate from Greece's skilful musicians Mirto Kontova and Eleanna Vrahali.
The collaboration with American producers/writers Diane Warren, Glen Ballard, and Brian Hewes, and Robbin Di Maggio, is to create a fresh chapter, in her illustrious career.
"One in Greek and one international which will be released later on. Patrick R. Leonard is one of the composers for the international album, famous from his collaboration with Madonna (he wrote Frozen and Like a prayer) and whom I'm very happy to be working with".
"As for the composers... let this be a surprise. I have listened to more than 600 songs, I'm in a studio from morning to night and I feel that I'm living a very special period of my life".
James Blunt had insisted that Anna Vissi ought to perform in his concert that was performed in Larnaca, last month.
"We met in Greece and had lunch together. I like him as a singer. He told me that he was having a concert in Cyprus, the day after, and so I told him that since it couldn't be possible to see him in Greece, I'd go to Cyprus and watch his concert. He asked me to sing with him "1973" - I like that song because it's symbolic. For me; I left Cyprus to start my career in Greece in 1973, full of hopes and dreams. We only did one rehearsal. It was a magic moment.
He texted me the same night: "Thank you very much,I had a great time, being with you on stage".
In November 2007, she did a special charity concert in London at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden with London Philharmonic Orchestra. She raised £250,000, excluding the entrance tickets costing £200.
