Elena Paparizou has new album in 2008

The CD single 'Porta Ston Ourano' (Door to the Sky) will be the first sample from the hotly anticipated album, which hit the air-waves on April 8.

Elena took to visit both Stockholm and Athens where the recording of the fresh material had been undertaken, for the female artist who was born in Sweden on January 31, 1982.

The producers are Niclas Olausson and Tony Mavrides (who produced 'Teardrops' as well as many other tracks of her previous release 'The Game of Love'.

The rock flavoured album will be a follow-up to the CD single 'Fos' and the platinum edition of 'Iparhi Logos' - which will be hitting the shelves in mid-May!

Her biggest hits from the former album had included 'Mambo, Gigolo, O,Ti Axizi Ine I Stigmes, Pou Na Pige Tosi Agapi, The Game of Love (Greek), Iparhi Logos, Paradigmatis Hari, Panta Se Perimena'.

'To Fili Tis Zois' of the soundtrack to the movie of the same title - had achieved a dominant No.1 on the iTunes chart in Greece during last year.

Photographer Kostas Avgoulis had done the CD design lay-out for the pop star, in a photo-session which lasted two days and 30 hours in total.

In October 2008, the Eurovision winner will settle down at the Iera Odos, to appear alongside Paschalis Terzis, for a winter season at the popular venue. The pair had previously performed together in 2006-2007.

In the meantime, English speakers will be thrilled at the prospect of a purely English album to be released in the Spring 2009!

Elena will hold her first major tour of Greece in June onwards, where the ectastic fan will get a glimpse of the amazing tunes soon to permeate the London Greek Radio air-waves! Elena will be joined by Manos Pirovolakis in the big tour that lies ahead!

She is best known for winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 for Greece with the song 'My Number One'. Elena, before embarking on a career as a solo artist, had formed Antique, where at the age of 17 she comprised the other half of the immensely popular duo with Nikos Panagiotidis.

Antique broke up in 2003 on good terms, with the artist assuming the mantle as solo pop star.

She signed a solo recording contract with Sony BMG (Greece) and, in December 2003, released her first solo single, 'Anapantites Klisis' (later re-recorded in English as I Don't Want You Here Anymore), a song written especially for her by singer/songwriter Christos Dantis. The single sales were strong, and it received gold certification in Greece.
